The nights lengthen and the air turns crisp. The leaves change color and begin their journey to letting go. Darkness turns ominous and even mundane noises are cause for one to stop and take notice as footsteps are hastened. Danger feels closer than ever. Awaiting at the end of the month is All Hallows Eve. Samhain, Halloween, the night when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. In observation we do what we have done for eons as individuals, groups, and tribes. We share stories, be they true or not that is for each of us to decide for ourselves. Legends in folklore seem larger than life, becoming more than just a story. We join together as we know there is strength in numbers. We do the same for The Countdown to Halloween.
As was the case in previous years we here at The Man Hole will try to bring you posts about movies, TV shows, pictures, just about anything Halloween related is fair game. I hope we will have at least two posts a day and maybe three for some if the spirit moves us. We love this time of year and what better way to spend it than by enjoying The Countdown to Halloween.
